Expand, Innovate, Evolve

Updated: Dec 25, 2019

“Growth is an unavoidable part of life. Whether we mean for it to happen or not, our bodies continually nourish and regenerate themselves, our minds continually learn and expand, and our lives continually evolve.” - Scott Edmond Miller

Wow...What a year of growth and beautiful beginnings 2019 has been: In May 2019, I left my full-time job to nurture Äyna Jewelry and our approach to slow fashion with my everything. It’s been 7 months of learning and re/de-fining, while staying committed to our 'best version' selves. I’m so grateful to have had all of you on this journey with me, and excited to share how it unfolds going forward!

We had a busy year-end, and thanks to all of you who came out to see us - it was one of the loveliest so far! We have so much gratitude for everyone who came through, asked questions, appreciated our pieces and bought special gifts for their family & friends - as well as those who couldn’t resist buying an Äyna original for themselves.

Our Cup Spilleth Over...

The love & gratitude runs deep, and our successful missions couldn’t have been completed without you! This year we were able to dedicate ourselves to our values of authenticity, social responsibility, and ethically made ‘slow fashion’ jewelry. Your support means that we can continue to sustainably increase the incomes of the artisans that we work with; as well as contribute towards a community spirit that shares art and knowledge across cultures and continents.

We went on a trip out of Senegal to showcase our talent at two magnificent holiday events in Los Angeles, California - Renegade Crafts & Unique Markets. We were fortunate to meet new and existing followers face-to-face, and formed meaningful connections with the passionate artisans who were standing alongside us. It was a blast talking to you about Äyna’s products and what we believe in. At Renegade Crafts, we shared space with Akiko Designs, who had the most adorable art and accessories - check out their design studio and see for yourself.

Festivals, Family & Fun

To my DC people, thank you for visiting me at the Winterfest - it was a cold one, but y’all kept me warm inside. Special thanks to my sidekick & sister, Leeda Jewayni, who loves Äyna pieces as much as I do and made this holiday season so much more fun!

Flowing into 2020, we will continue to focus on growth and innovation, while staying committed to evolving in line with our values: Slow fashion, ethically made. There are already many new and exciting projects planned for 2020, and we can’t wait to share them with you!

With gratitude,
